In the centre of the ring is a lozenge shaped 18ct yellow gold section set with fourteen French cut fancy yellow diamonds and ten round white diamonds.
The fancy yellow diamonds and white diamonds are set in alternating columns, being four fancy yellow, five white, six fancy yellow, five white and four fancy yellow.
When viewed diagonally the fancy yellow and white diamonds form a chequerboard pattern.
The underside of the 18ct yellow gold setting is lozenge shaped but rather than being flat, it is ridged forming a 'V' shape.
The 18ct yellow gold setting is mounted between polished platinum shoulders and shank.
The platinum shank is made of three upturned 'V' shaped ridges to mirror the under side of the 18ct yellow gold setting.
Each ridge terminates at the shoulder shoulder that is set with a French cut white diamond.
The ring is hallmarked by the London AssayOoffice for platinum and 18ct gold, 2025 and bears the sponsor's mark 'A&SP' for Alan & Sue Poultney.
'Scarab' and the Jewels by Scarab beetle logo have been lasered into the inside of the shank.
