This round silver brooch is made of two textured domed discs that have been joined together with a concave and small open centre.
Part of the front has been gilded/gold washed and the other part has been oxidised to produce a mottled green-black & purple-brown finish.
The whole brooch has an abstract pattern achieved by allowing the silver to show through the gilding and oxidisation.
The rear is marked 'Silver', '925' and has the markers initials 'PM' in a square cartouche and the maker's name in an oblong cartouche.
The name is partially indistinct but could be 'P Mayer'
